There has been so much buzz lately surrounding Joseph Altuzarra’s collection for J.Crew! So what exactly is it? He says the collection is, “Brigitte Bardot in Saint-Tropez and French preppy style.” Sounds good to me! J.Crew writes, “A French spin on J.Crew classics, our exclusive capsule collection created in collaboration with 2011 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award winner Joseph Altuzarra has us completely in l’amour.”
While I do like several pieces, there were some pieces I didn’t like, such as the Manon Skirt (a denim pencil skirt) – talk about ugly. Also, the Serge Sweater. It has holes all over it, and I’m not quite sure what he was going for. Perhaps Homeless Prep? Who knows? My other issue is that the collection is a bit pricey – even more so than normal J.Crew pieces. However, here are the few I do like:
Patricia Top, $85
Patricia Dress, $145
Odette Blouse, $175
Sabrina Dress, $228
