Jason Wu for Target
Posted in Fashion, tagged Fashion, Jason Wu, Jason Wu for Target, Target on February 5, 2012 | 4 Comments »
After all the hype for the Jason Wu line at Target, I knew I’d have to get there early. The boyfriend and I (yep, I made him come. I wanted a body guard in case things got ugly! Plus, he pushed the cart. What a guy.) showed up about ten minutes early, surprised to see only a handful of people waiting. The Target I chose had the largest selection of any in my general area (people drove two hours to get here!!), so I was expecting quite the crowd. We lucked out
We were ushered in right at 8:00am, and we all quickly grabbed what we wanted. My dream item wasn’t there, but I’ll save that for later. I was surprised to see that I liked a lot of the items a lot more than I expected to; sometimes internet pictures just don’t do them justice. Everything in the line was under $60, and I didn’t pay more than $50 for anything. Overall, I spent around $140, and I’m really pleased with what I got!
I saw this Long-sleeve Sheer Blouse in blush dots and decided to try it on. It wasn’t amazing on the hanger, and it’s not something I’d usually wear, but I love the color so I tried it on anyway. I’m so glad I did! It’s super cute and can definitely be dressed up for work or date night, but could also be paired with jeans and flats. This is my second favorite steal. (This fits true to size. I’m usually a 4 and a small/medium depending on the brand, and I got this in a small. It’s meant to be loose fitting.)
I thought this shirt, the Blouse with Tie, was too cute to pass up. I saw it in blue as I was leaving, so I snagged that, too. I’d like the blue a bit better if the tie were white, but oh well. (If you’re thinking of buying this, it fits pretty true to size. However, the arms are kinda tight. I went with a small because of my arms and will probably take in the shirt on the sides a tad.)
I saw this dress, the Poplin Dress in navy, online and was kinda iffy about it. However, in person, it’s lovely. I have the very traditional hourglass figure, and this dress fit me like a glove. This is my favorite steal of the morning! (If you’re interested in it, it fit very true to size!)
This dress, the Flared Dress in cream with the black belt, was my number 1 item, but, unfortantely, my store didn’t have it. If you happened to pick it up in a size 4 and no longer want it, I’ll be happy to take it off your hands
