Women’s Wedge Polo, $65

I’m super excited to announce that earlier this week, Johnnie-O launched a collection of Wedge Polos for women! I just love all the fun colors for summer. These polos would be perfect with a pair of cute shorts (seersucker, madras, scalloped – you name it), or you could rock some white denim and your Jacks for a laid back BBQ with your friends. Lion’esque Style has offered my readers an exclusive discount of 15% with code Preppy15, which will be good through July 23.
According to his website, “Designer John O’Donnell brought the sunny California inspired brand to life in 2005, designing his first piece while on a golf trip. Instead of the basic plain golf wardrobes everyone was accustomed to, he added a little “surfer dud” flare, and it was a hit! Everyone loved his designs including his brother Chris O’Donnell [love him!!], and his fan base grew, here Johnnie-O was born.”
“Johnnie-O likes to think of his brand as West Coast preppy [Wade, have you checked them out?!], helping it appeal to a wide audience. It is a definite emerging apparel and lifestyle brand that merges the casual West Coast style with the refined East Coast feel.”
While you’re ordering one for yourself, you can also pick up one of their “Prep-Formance” polos for the boy. These are perfect for his golfing trips or even just to accompany you to your family’s annual cookout!
Don’t forget: Preppy Delight readers get 15% off through July 23 with code “Preppy15”!

After all the hype for the Jason Wu line at Target, I knew I’d have to get there early. The boyfriend and I (yep, I made him come. I wanted a body guard in case things got ugly! Plus, he pushed the cart. What a guy.) showed up about ten minutes early, surprised to see only a handful of people waiting. The Target I chose had the largest selection of any in my general area (people drove two hours to get here!!), so I was expecting quite the crowd. We lucked out 🙂

We were ushered in right at 8:00am, and we all quickly grabbed what we wanted. My dream item wasn’t there, but I’ll save that for later. I was surprised to see that I liked a lot of the items a lot more than I expected to; sometimes internet pictures just don’t do them justice. Everything in the line was under $60, and I didn’t pay more than $50 for anything. Overall, I spent around $140, and I’m really pleased with what I got!

I saw this Long-sleeve Sheer Blouse in blush dots and decided to try it on. It wasn’t amazing on the hanger, and it’s not something I’d usually wear, but I love the color so I tried it on anyway. I’m so glad I did! It’s super cute and can definitely be dressed up for work or date night, but could also be paired with jeans and flats. This is my second favorite steal. (This fits true to size. I’m usually a 4 and a small/medium depending on the brand, and I got this in a small. It’s meant to be loose fitting.)

I thought this shirt, the Blouse with Tie, was too cute to pass up. I saw it in blue as I was leaving, so I snagged that, too. I’d like the blue a bit better if the tie were white, but oh well. (If you’re thinking of buying this, it fits pretty true to size. However, the arms are kinda tight. I went with a small because of my arms and will probably take in the shirt on the sides a tad.)

I saw this dress, the Poplin Dress in navy, online and was kinda iffy about it. However, in person, it’s lovely. I have the very traditional hourglass figure, and this dress fit me like a glove. This is my favorite steal of the morning! (If you’re interested in it, it fit very true to size!)

This dress, the Flared Dress in cream with the black belt, was my number 1 item, but, unfortantely, my store didn’t have it. If you happened to pick it up in a size 4 and no longer want it, I’ll be happy to take it off your hands 😉
